As a fourth grader, students will be traveling to different classrooms throughout the day. To help students be successful, the policies and rules are the same in each classroom.
Behavior:
The fourth grade team utilizes a check system. Each teacher on the team has a check chart with their homeroom students’ name listed and posted in the room. Students are expected to be prepared for class and respectful to the teacher and other classmates. Students will give themselves a check on the chart for unexpected and unacceptable behaviors. Any checks received throughout the day are erased at the end of the day and students start fresh each morning.
✔ 1st check equals a warning to the student
✔✔ 2nd check equals a loss of the next recess
✔✔✔3rd check equals a phone call home and an after school detention
Homework:
As a fourth grade team, we feel homework is necessary to help our students reinforce skills taught and review subject matter
